Features of Development

⭐The Bachelor’s Program offers diversified faculties and curriculum designs to cultivate students’ vision and practical application ability surrounding knowledge about the social and regional environment. The Program is designed with an interdisciplinary curriculum based on social development (historical culture, social change, and digital transformation) and regional development (environmental resource management, geographic information system application, scenic recreation, and urban planning).

⭐To address the growing trend in social development, Departmental teaching emphasizes training in interdisciplinary integration to cultivate students’ ability to engage in multiple practices and adapt to future social developments.

⭐The Department’s strength is shown in the faculties featuring interdisciplinary integration and can cultivate an attitude acknowledging the importance of multiculturalism, data innovation, and global localization issues.


Course Features:
Professional Courses:
⭐Social Development Domain:
This domain focuses on historical culture, social change, and digital transformation. The curriculum design attaches importance to analyzing social and industrial development issues and cultivates leadership and management talents for social investigation and industrial innovation.
 
⭐Regional Development Domain:
This domain focuses on the environmental landscape and regional industry. The environmental landscape course attaches importance to regional environmental analysis capabilities, such as environmental resource management, geographic information system analysis, environmental design, and community building. It cultivates talents for regional development, urban and landscape planning, and design.

 

Seminar Program:
The students are expected to complete the seminar research paper in junior year to strengthen their abilities in critical thinking and independent research.

Industry Internship:
The students are expected to complete the internship of 160 hours between the second semester of junior year to the first semester of senior year. The internship unit and advising professor will jointly assist students in enhancing their professional competency. Internship achievement sharing will be held to pass down the experiences after the internship.
